[Invited Review] Real Croatian Cuisine at Dubrovnik Restaurant

Posted by Food Promotions On Thursday, May 07, 2009
Dubrovnik Restaurant is named after the most southern city in Croatia. Croatia was once a part of ex-Yugoslavia, gained its independence in 1991 . A land filled with rich cultural heritage due to its history and surrounding countries. Croatian cuisine is also known as the cuisine of regions that has many different influences; from Italy, Turkey, Greece, Hungary, Germany, Austria and France.

Zoran Djumic is the founder and head chef of this restaurant. He was inspired with the dishes that his piece of homeland can offer, thus set up this restaurant last year, April 2008.

The design of the restaurant is influenced by the historical buildings in the city of Dubrovnik. The restaurant design was owner's memory of Croatia and replicated the famed city by emphasizing some of its charm, notably the walls and fortresses.

Judging from the outlook of the restaurant, one will thought that it must be an expensive place to dine. But you are wrong, it is affordable yet tasty. Click here for the menu.

Ben, the manager of the restaurant is our host for the day. He served us with the restaurant's signature dishes. If you join us during lunch that Saturday afternoon, you will notice that Ben is a very friendly host. He can even baby sit the cutomer's baby while the parents are dining. Where else can we find such good service restaurant? :)
